About this estate
Maestà di Santa Luce is the Syrah project of the Illuminati family farm, based at Loc. Brolio in Castiglion Fiorentino, Arezzo, in the Valdichiana of southern Tuscany. Its Syrah vines were planted in 2002 and 2003 on a hillside at about 300 metres, on silty-clay soil with strong day-night temperature swings, and are worked by hand. The wine is made in a restored 1800s farmhouse cellar.
