For wineries
- Is it really free to list my estate?
- Yes, and free is not a trial. Your profile, your full wine list with photos, and replying to five buyer conversations a month are included permanently. For most estates that is the whole thing. Pro (US$49/month, ≈€45) is there when five conversations stop being enough, when you want to write to buyers first, or when you want your buyer contacts as a file you own — see the pricing page.
- What do I lose by not claiming?
- Three things, and they are concrete. Buyers can already write to your directory page — until it is claimed, nobody at the estate is notified and the message waits (you get them all when you claim). Importers who filter for complete profiles do not see unclaimed estates at all. And a buyer comparing estates picks the one showing wines, photos and a story, which an unclaimed page has none of.
- Why would I ever pay, if free is enough?
- Often you would not, and that is fine by us. Pay when the free plan pinches — more than five conversations a month, wanting to approach buyers first, wanting your contacts exported. Some estates also take Pro simply to keep a young platform running and to try new tools with us as we build them. Both are honest reasons; neither is required.
- Do you take a commission on what I sell?
- No. We take 0% of your sales. We are a directory, not a broker and not an agent. When a buyer writes to you, you negotiate your own price, incoterms and payment directly with them. We are not a party to that contract.
- Who is behind MyVinoSource?
- Anthony Yau, a wine importer and retailer based in Hong Kong. The platform exists because our own buying desk received more estate introductions than any one importer could answer. Full details are on the contact page.
- My estate is already listed. Where did that data come from?
- Our directory was built from public wine market data, so many estates already appear with a name, country and region. That listing is not written by you and is deliberately basic. When you claim it, you replace it with your own words, your own photos and your own wines, and you become the only person who can edit it.
- How long does approval take?
- Usually within 2 working days. We check every claim by hand — that is the point. It stops anyone else from taking your estate's profile.
- Who can see my prices?
- Nobody, unless you send them. There is no public price field on your profile. Prices, allocations and terms are things you write inside a conversation with a specific buyer, exactly as you would over email.
- Will you sell or share my contact details?
- No. We do not sell contact data, and we do not add you to third-party mailing lists. Buyers reach you through the platform; your email address is only revealed when you reply to them.
- I already have an importer in Hong Kong. Is this still useful?
- Yes, and you should say so. Your profile can show which markets you already have an agent in, and which markets you are still looking for. That stops buyers in a market you already cover from wasting your time, and points the right buyers at the gaps.
- How many buyers are on the platform today?
- We are early, and we would rather tell you that than invent a number. Live buyer requests appear on the sourcing board — you can look at it right now, before deciding anything. What you see there is what exists.
- What languages can I write in?
- Write your claim request and your profile in French, Italian, Spanish, German or any language you prefer — we read submissions in the original language. Buyer conversations are usually in English.
For buyers
- Who can register as a buyer?
- Trade buyers: importers, distributors, retailers, restaurant groups and hotel groups. Registration is free. We check company email domains automatically, and ask for a business licence when someone registers with a free email provider.
- What does it cost buyers?
- Nothing. Search, sourcing requests and messaging producers are free for buyers.
- Can I contact an estate that has not claimed its profile?
- You can send a message, and we will tell you honestly that the estate has not joined yet. We record your interest and use it when we invite them. We never pretend a message was delivered when it was not.
- Do you handle shipping, payment or customs?
- No. We introduce the two sides and stay out of the transaction. All commercial terms, compliance and duties are agreed directly between you and the producer.
