About this estate

Capanna is a family estate in the Montosoli area north of Montalcino, founded by Giuseppe Cencioni, who began bottling in the 1960s and was one of the 25 founders of the Brunello di Montalcino consortium. Its 25 hectares, all within 2 km of the cellar and certified organic since 2024, are planted mainly to Sangiovese with Moscato Bianco, Merlot and Pinot Grigio. It makes Brunello, Rosso and Moscadello di Montalcino, aged in Slavonian oak casks in an 18th-century cellar.
