Heredad Pangua Sodupe is a family winery at San Asensio, in La Rioja, tied to the Pangua family of San Vicente de la Sonsierra and the Sodupe family of San Asensio, who have grown vines for several generations. Its history begins in 1989, when Severiano Sodupe and Roberto Pangua started selling their own wines, made in a century-old cellar. A new winery and more vineyards followed in 1999. Roberto Pangua and his son Andrés now work 25 hectares of their own vineyard in San Asensio, Briones and San Vicente de la Sonsierra, and describe their farming as sustainable and precision-based.
