Bodegas Mazuela
Rioja, Spain
About this estate
Bodegas Mazuela is a winery in Cenicero, in La Rioja Alta, founded in 2016. Its manager Manuel García says he spent 12 years as manager of a cooperative and a private winery and has led more than 11 R&D projects. The winery makes single-vineyard wines, each vineyard bottled as its own wine. Grapes are picked by hand in 19 kg boxes and destemmed by hand, berry by berry. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks after a cold pre-fermentation, and the wines age in French oak barrels. Wines named on the site include Stelvio Crianza, Liante and La Hoya de Mazuela.
